South Side Yoga Studio Class ETIQUETTE
To receive the most from your yoga and TRX classes, please remember…
Yoga Classes
- Only socks or bare feet in the studio. Leave your shoes in the cubes in the studio lobby.
- Leave cell phones in your car or turned off in your bag.
- Please do not wear any cologne, perfume or scented deodorant to the studio as we encourage deep breathing during class.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement.
- Eat sparingly in the 1-2 hours prior to your class.
- No un-lidded water containers in the studio space, please.
- Do not place your jewelry and/or glasses on the studio floor – they might get stepped on.
- On your first visit please fill out our registration & waiver form at the sign-in desk in our lobby area before you participate in the class.
- If you arrive late, DO NOT unroll your mat or get your props during the opening meditations. Please wait until we start moving.
- If you need to leave class early, please do so before the final relaxation starts.
- New Students: Please fill out an Registration Form from the sign-in desk on your first visit.
- Pregnant? New Student? Working with an Injury? PLEASE let your Instructor know how you are feeling and ALWAYS take care of yourself!
- For hygiene purposes, we encourage you to purchase you own yoga mat. SSY has yoga mats for sale, but should you need to borrow one for a class, SSY offers yoga mats for your convenience.
TRX Classes
- Wear CLEAN tennis shoes. Sorry no exceptions.
- Leave cell phones in your car or turned off in your bag.
- Bring your own towel.
- Wear comfortable work out clothing that does not restrict movement yet is not too loose to catch on equipment.
- Be prepared to sweat.
- Eat sparingly in the 1-2 hours prior to your class.
- No un-lidded water containers in the studio space, please.
- Do not place your jewelry and/or glasses on the studio floor – they might get stepped on.
- All Students need to pre-register for TRX training as space is limited to 10 participants in each class.
- New Student? Injuries? PLEASE let your Instructor know before class and do not overwork yourself in the first classes!
